Mattia Barbero

Mattia Barbero has a diverse work experience in various industries. Mattia is currently the Product Owner and Founder at Bamboo Energy since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at ENERGY POOL from September 2019 to February 2020. From March 2017 to February 2020, they served as a Project Engineer at IREC - Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya. Additionally, they worked as a Bar Man at Le Standard from January 2016 to February 2017, where they gained social skills in customer service and bartending. Mattia also worked as a waiter at Don Serafino from August 2014 to August 2016.

Mattia Barbero has a diverse education history. From 2013 to 2015, they studied at Politecnico di Torino, where they obtained a degree in energy engineering. Mattia then pursued a master's degree in energy engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2015 to 2017. Following this, Mattia attended the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya again from 2017 to 2020, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistic and Operation Research.

Continuing their academic journey, Mattia joined EIT InnoEnergy in 2018 and completed the PhD School program in Business and Innovation in 2021. Currently, from 2021 to 2024, they are enrolled at EAE Business School, pursuing an Executive MBA in Business.

In addition to their formal education, Mattia Barbero has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. These certifications include courses such as "Gestión de riesgos en la comercialización de electricidad" from iKN Spain, "Energy Economics" from Grenoble Ecole de Management, and "Entrepreneurship Summer School" from ESADE. Furthermore, they have completed certification courses in teamwork and leadership, smart grid, time series analysis, data science, and the concept of Internet of Energy.
