Youyou Yan

Youyou Yan is a Senior Research Analyst at Balyasny Asset Management L.P., where responsibilities include managing a discretionary long-short market neutral portfolio focused on global industrials, natural resources, and alternative energy. Since March 2022, Youyou has taken full autonomy over a portfolio of approximately 40 names, generating investment ideas primarily from the US and Chinese markets, particularly in metals/mining and alternative energy sectors. Previous experience includes serving as Vice President in Equity Research at J.P. Morgan, where Youyou was part of the Institutional Investor's top-rated team covering materials and industrials, and an internship at CICC that involved market analyses and prospectus writing. Youyou holds a Master’s degree in International Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic from Peking University.
