Alexandru Penes

Alexandru Penes has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Alexandru started their career as an Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers Romania in 2005. Later, they joined BCR Leasing in 2006 and served as a Relationship Manager and later as the Head of Real Estate Sales. In 2009, they became the Managing Director at BCR Fleet Management. Alexandru then moved to BCR in 2010 and held various roles, including Senior Investment Specialist and Markets and Investments Expert ALM. Since 2016, Alexandru has been the Head of Group Liquidity and Investments at BCR, where they are responsible for managing the liquidity position, computing and implementing the liquidity and investment strategy, and coordinating subsidiary companies on liquidity, funding, and investment matters. Alexandru has extensive experience in budgeting, planning, stress testing, and recovery and resolution planning.

Alexandru Penes has a diverse educational background in finance and banking. In 2002, they began their studies at Academia de Studii Economice din Bucuresti, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance, Banking, and Stock Exchange in 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in DAFI at the same institution from 2006 to 2008.

Alexandru also attended various specialized courses to enhance their knowledge in specific areas. In 2007, they completed a Customer Relationship Management Course at INSEAD. Additionally, they participated in a course on International Trading Guarantees and Payment Instruments at the Institutul Bancar Roman - Romanian Banking Institute in the same year.
