Stefan Balasa

Stefan Balasa has extensive work experience in various roles within the banking and telecommunications industries. Stefan began their career at Skytel Srl in 2002, where they worked as a Project Manager and Technical Manager until 2007. Afterward, they joined Pluriva as a Commercial Director from 2007 to 2009. Since 2009, Stefan has been working at BCR, where they have held multiple positions including IT Processes Governance Specialist, Business Analyst/Project Manager, Portfolio Manager, Program Manager, Head of Transaction, Liabilities and Support Functions Department, Head of Processes and Regulations for Support and Management Functions, Head of Regulations Management in the Change Management Division, and their current role as Head of Corporate Business Controlling starting in May 2021.

Stefan Balasa obtained a Licentiate degree in Mathematics from the University of Bucharest in the years 1999 to 2003. Stefan then pursued a Master's degree in Algebra and Theory of Numbers from the same university from 2004 to 2006.

In 2015, Stefan obtained a certification as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.

From 2016 to 2018, Stefan attended the WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) where they completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
