Miguel Lara

Miguel Lara is an experienced technology executive with a robust background in banking and information technology. Currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering, Innovation, and Operations at Bancaribe since September 2009, Miguel is responsible for the entire technological strategy of the bank. Previously held positions at Banco de Venezuela included Vice President of Payment Systems, where Miguel managed systems related to credit and debit cards, and Vice President of Enterprise Architecture, focusing on strategic definitions for system architecture. Miguel began their career at Banco Pichincha as the IT Consulting Lead, where Miguel oversaw the implementation of a new operational model. Miguel holds a degree in System Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana and has furthered education with diplomas in business administration and digital transformation leadership.
