Roberto Nygaard

Roberto Nygaard is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Head of Division and Especialista Tesouraria at Banco Central do Brasil since October 2010. Previous roles include Sales Specialist and Regional Manager at Thomson Reuters Inc., where responsibility encompassed managing sales and operations in Brazil from March 2006 to October 2010, and teaching at FK Partners from 2007 to 2008. Roberto's tenure at Algorithmics from May 2000 to January 2006 involved leading financial engineering projects, while prior experience as a Senior Consultant at the Central Bank of Brazil from July 1994 to May 2000 focused on regulatory capital and banking regulation. Academically, Roberto holds a Master's in Finance from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, along with degrees in Accounting and General Finance from FGV and Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, respectively, and a Civil Engineering degree from the same institution.
