Ariel Zabala

Ariel Zabala currently serves as the Gerente General at Banco de Desarrollo Productivo SAM since November 2020, following a role as Consultor superior en inteligencia empresarial at Macrodata. Previously, Ariel held the position of Gerente de Asistencia Técnica e Innovación Productiva at Banco de Desarrollo Productivo SAM from June 2017 to June 2020 and served as Director at the Ministerio de Desarrollo Productivo y Economía Plural from January 2009 to June 2020. During tenure at the Ministry, Ariel coordinated significant studies focusing on Micro and Small Enterprises across various sectors, contributing to economic policy formation. Earlier professional experience includes working as Asesor Técnico en Investigación at the Gobierno Municipal de La Paz, overseeing economic censuses, and as Especialista en Investigación en TICs at the Vicepresidencia del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia, where statistical indicators were developed. Ariel holds a Master’s degree in Economics and International Trade from UNIVERSIDAD ANDINA SIMON BOLIVAR and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Boliviana.
