Rogerio Miguel

Rogerio Miguel has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at BNI - Banco Nacional de Investimento from April 2023 onwards. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at UBA Moçambique from April 2022 to March 2023.

Rogerio's longest tenure was at Banco MAIS - Banco Moçambicano de Apoio aos Investimentos, SA, where they held the position of Head of Management Control and Risk from November 2014 to April 2022. In this role, they were responsible for various tasks such as strategic planning, budgeting, performance monitoring, risk management, and financial analysis.

Before joining Banco MAIS, Rogerio worked at CORRE as the Head of Finance and Human Resources from July 2011 to October 2014. Rogerio also briefly served as the Financial Controller at CORRE from October 2010 to June 2011. Prior to CORRE, they gained experience as a Trainee at CTT - Correios de Portugal, S.A, with exposure to various departments including the International Unit and Accounting and Finance Department.

Rogerio started their career as a Trainee in the Management Control and Risk Department at Eurovida, and prior to that, they worked as a Teacher at Maputo Commercial Institute. Rogerio also had experience as an Accountant at Decigest – Serviços de Apoio à Gestão, Lda and started their professional journey as an Accounting Trainee at Petromoc - Petróleos de Moçambique, SARL.

Rogerio Miguel completed their education in a diverse range of fields. From 2007 to 2010, they pursued a Master's degree in Accounting, Tax and Corporate Finance at the School of Economics and Management - Technical University of Lisbon. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2007, they obtained a Graduation degree in Mathematics Applied to Economics and Management, with a focus on Financial and Actuary Mathematics, also from the same institution. Before joining the Technical University of Lisbon, they attended UEM - Universidade Eduardo Mondlane from 1999 to 2002, where they studied Management and IT. Lastly, from 1995 to 1998, they acquired an Accounting Certification from the Maputo Commercial Institute, specializing in Accounting.
