Oscar Esquivel Barquero

Oscar Esquivel Barquero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information technology and management. Currently serving as the Subdirector de TI at Banco Popular y de Desarrollo Comunal since July 2022, Oscar previously held the position of Executive Director at Colegio de Profesionales en Informática y Computación from October 2020 to July 2022, where responsibilities included the management of the institution and the establishment of a management system for strategic planning. Oscar's background features roles at GBM spanning from December 2005 to September 2020, including Regional Transition Services Field Manager and Costa Rica Transition Services Field Manager, and previous experience at BAC Credomatic, Banco Bancrecen, and Caja de Ande. Academically, Oscar holds a Licenciatura in Derecho from Universidad Fidélitas and has two master's degrees, one in Project Administration from Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional and the other in Technological Management from Universidad LCI Veritas, along with a Licenciatura in Computer Engineering from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica.
