Daniel Barriuso

Daniel Barriuso serves as the Global Head of Santander Retail & Commercial and Chief Transformation Officer at Santander since February 2017, leading transformation initiatives across the organization. Additionally, Daniel holds the position of Chief Transformation Officer for Santander Group and serves as the Group Executive Vice President, Global CISO, and Head of Cyber and Banking Fraud Prevention. Since April 2022, Daniel has been a Board Member at Banco Santander Mexico. In 2023, Daniel assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors at both FS-ISAC Europe and Lynx Tech. Previous roles include Advisory Board Member at Black Hat (2017-2020) and Vice President and CISO at BP (2012-2017). Daniel's extensive experience also encompasses positions at Credit Suisse, UPM – Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and ABN AMRO. Daniel's academic credentials include certifications from ISACA and BSI, along with degrees in Computer Science Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
