Álvaro Carmona is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Bancolombia since January 2021, where responsibilities include leading technological transformation and innovation initiatives. Previously, Álvaro held multiple strategic roles, including Chief Enterprise Architect at Bancolombia and Director of Engineering at Aranda Software, contributing significantly to product development and management. As an educator, Álvaro serves as an adjunct professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, specializing in cloud architecture and project management. Álvaro's international experience includes being a Fulbright Grantee at the University of Washington, focusing on technology innovation and IoT projects. With a robust academic foundation, including a Master of Science in Technology Innovation from the University of Washington and a Master’s in Systems Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes, Álvaro demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing technology and education.
