Pete Karoonkornsakul

Pete Karoonkornsakul has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Pete currently works at Band Protocol as a Blockchain Engineer since 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at Lightnet Group as a Blockchain Engineer from 2021 to 2022. During their tenure there, they successfully launched a decentralized exchange and led a team in developing a Self-Repaying Loan DApp.

Before entering the blockchain industry, Pete worked at Asia Precision PLC (APCS) for a significant period from 2017 to 2021. Pete initially joined as a Business Development Manager and later took on the role of Project Manager. At APCS, they were responsible for launching major internal software projects that significantly improved production efficiency and reduced communication time between departments. Pete also played a crucial role in the company's website development.

Pete began their career in the financial sector at Standard Chartered Bank as a Credit Analyst & Assistant Relationship Manager from 2015 to 2017. Pete conducted loan origination, financial modeling, and risk assessments for multinational companies. Pete also worked as an Aviation Finance Analyst and participated in the bank's international graduate program, where they ranked in the top 10 performers.

During their earlier years, Pete gained internships at Kasikorn Bank as a Credit Analyst Intern in 2013 and at Phatra Securities Plc as a Private Wealth Management Intern in 2012.

Pete Karoonkornsakul received their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London from 2010 to 2014. In 2021, they attended Launch School for Computer Software Engineering. Their secondary education took place at Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok, from 2004 to 2010. Additionally, they completed the LSE Summer School program in Business Analysis and Valuation at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2014. Pete also obtained several additional certifications, including CFA Level 1 from the CFA Institute and various programming courses from Udemy, such as Ethereum Blockchain Developer Bootcamp, Go: The Complete Developer's Guide (Golang), and Master Ethereum & Solidity Programming From Scratch in 2021.
