Kenji Washida

Kenji Washida has extensive experience in brand strategy, marketing, and management in the toy and collectibles industry. Kenji started their career at Mattel, Inc. as a National Sales Manager, where they played a key role in establishing the company's presence in the Japanese toy market. Kenji then joined The Walt Disney Company as a Senior Manager, overseeing licensees/vendor management, contract negotiations, and property management for toy lines. Washida later joined Bandai America as Vice President of Brand Management, where they were responsible for trade shows, road shows, and brand management-led events. Kenji also worked on research and development, identifying potential IPs and introducing new properties to the US market. In their most recent role as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Strategy at Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America Inc, Washida developed brand strategies, created marketing plans, and ensured financial performance in line with the company's business plan.
