Pia Tayag has extensive experience in leadership roles focusing on strategy, innovation, and sustainability within the financial sector. As an Assistant Governor at Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas from January 2002 to July 2024, Pia managed initiatives related to financial inclusion, consumer protection, and financial education. In addition, Pia served as Director of the Inclusive Finance Advocacy Office and Head of the Microfinance Unit for the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development from September 2020 to June 2023, supporting Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.
