Kurtis Pake has over two decades of professional experience starting from 2004. Kurtis worked at Wake County Public School System where they held various roles such as Assistant Principal and Teacher/Coach. During their time there, they demonstrated skills in student discipline, staff evaluation, and implementing educational initiatives. Kurtis also worked as a Manager at Adventure Landing from 2005 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Bangor Township Schools as a Principal before transitioning to the role of Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director/Central Office Administrator. In their current position as the Director of Programs and Strategic Initiatives, Kurtis oversees the district's finances and ensures the fulfillment of both short and long-term goals while maintaining a solid financial position.
Kurtis Pake's education history begins in 1998 when they enrolled at Western Michigan University for their Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. Kurtis completed this program in 2003.
In 2007, Pake pursued a Master of Arts in Education at East Carolina University, specializing in Science Education. Kurtis completed this program in 2009.
Following their master's degree, Pake attended North Carolina State University from 2009 to 2011 for a Master of School Administration (MSA) degree, focusing on School Administration.
In 2017, Pake enrolled at Saginaw Valley State University where they pursued an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree. The exact field of study for this program is unknown.
Currently, Pake is attending Western Michigan University once again, aiming to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, with an expected completion in 2024.
