Ahmed AlZikan

Ahmed AlZikan has an extensive work experience in the field of IT. Ahmed started their career as a Computer Manager at Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) in 1991, where they managed document and record storage. Ahmed integrated older paper files into an online document management system and updated company manuals to reflect changes in information management standards.

Later, Ahmed joined Bank Albilad in various positions. Ahmed served as an Application Support Sr. Officer, where they designed software applications training programs and troubleshooted software and applications for customers. Ahmed then became Helpdesk Unit Manager, responsible for creating and managing helpdesk procedures, developing IT schedules, and prioritizing support calls.

Ahmed's role at Bank Albilad progressed to Windows Systems Engineering Unit Manager and Alternate Channels Applications Department Manager. Ahmed provided effective communication with business users and IT suppliers and oversaw large, multiple, and complex projects.

As Solution and Development Department Manager, Ahmed continued their leadership role and communicated effectively with business users and IT suppliers. Ahmed also provided written protocols and guidance to IT staff and end-users.

Later they assumed the role of information technology General Manager, Acting. In this position, they carried out a wide range of IT administrative duties, managed IT engineers, and ensured service level agreements were met. Ahmed also translated user needs into system requirements.

In 2014, Ahmed became the Head of IT Governance Division at Bank Albilad. In this role, they were responsible for creating an IT Governance framework aligned with the bank's strategy. Ahmed provided overall direction for the bank's IT Governance function, including Enterprise Architecture, Service Change Management, and Data Governance and Disaster Recovery.

Most recently, Ahmed served as the Chief Information Officer at Bank Albilad. In this role, they strengthened the IT infrastructure by implementing new technologies, performed routine system audits, and was responsible for hardware and software installation, maintenance, and repair.

Overall, Ahmed AlZikan has shown progressive growth and expertise in the field of IT, with experience in various leadership roles, project management, and IT governance.

Ahmed AlZikan obtained an Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology from the Collage of Technology from 1988 to 1990. In 2011, they completed a Leadership Development Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Ahmed then attended Harvard Business School in 2015 for a program on Leading Professional Service Firms. In 2018, Ahmed completed a course on Leading Digital Business Transformation at IMD. Additionally, they obtained certifications in various areas such as VMware, Microsoft Flow, Bitcoin, and Design Thinking from LinkedIn and Lynda.com between 2016 and 2019.
