Anwar Althibani

Anwar Althibani is an experienced operational risk management professional with a robust career spanning over two decades in the banking sector. Currently serving as the Operational Risk Manager at Bank Albilad since May 2012, Anwar implements and updates the operational risk management strategy while reviewing bank-wide policies to identify and correct operational risk weaknesses. Prior to this, Anwar held the position of Senior Risk Officer, focusing on loss data collection and the development of a bank-wide operational risk framework. Earlier experience includes a tenure as Senior Auditor at NCB, contributing to the internal audit plan and quality standards delivery. Anwar's educational background includes several certifications in operational risk, internal auditing, and Islamic banking, as well as a master's degree in International Marketing from Sheffield Hallam University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from King Saud University.
