M.D. Serajul Islam

Md. Serajul Islam has a diverse work experience in the banking and technology sectors. Md. Serajul served as an Executive Vice President at Bank Asia Limited, where they specialized in Agent banking solutions for financial inclusion. Md. Serajul also held a leadership role as the Chief Executive Officer at ERA InfoTech Limited, overseeing all company activities and strategic planning. Additionally, they have expertise in poverty alleviation projects and microfinance management solutions through their involvement with the EBEK project.

Md. Serajul Islam completed their B.Com (Hon) and M.Com degrees in Finance & Accounting, Business law, Taxation, and Management from Dhaka University between 1986 and 1989. Md. Serajul then pursued an Advanced Management Programme from The University of Hong Kong in 2013, focusing on Executive Education in the Faculty of Business and Economics. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Business Innovation by Information Technology from The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) in Japan in 2010, and became a Fellow of Cost and Management Accountants (FCMA) from ICMAB.
