Berenice Martinez

Berenice Martinez is a Senior Research Analyst at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) since August 2016, specializing in statistical analysis and support for economists in the Americas office, along with contributing to research through data processing and econometric analysis. Prior experience includes serving as Directora de Evaluación at the Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica (COFECE), where Berenice coordinated impact assessments on competition policy. Berenice also worked as a Teaching Assistant and a summer instructor for economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, taught courses in elementary statistics, and held roles as a Research Assistant at Banco de México and Universidad de Guanajuato, focusing on economic modeling and data analysis. Berenice holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad de Guanajuato.
