Maciej Szczesny

Maciej Szczesny currently serves as the President of the Management Board at the Bank Guarantee Fund and as the Representative of the Minister of Finance, holding the position of Chairman of the Council since January 2024. Prior to this role, Szczesny accumulated extensive experience in the finance sector, including positions as a GEM Financial Analyst at Amundi from July 2014 to September 2022, Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from September 2011 to March 2015, Executive Director at Nomura International from September 2008 to August 2011, and Vice President at Lehman Brothers from July 2007 to September 2008, where responsibilities included analyzing EEMEA banks. Earlier career milestones include serving as Vice President at Morgan Stanley and Associate in equity research roles at ABN AMRO and ABN AMRO Securities Polska. Szczesny holds a Magister degree in Banking and Finance from SGH Warsaw School of Economics, earned between 1995 and 2000.
