Renata Borkowska

Renata Borkowska possesses extensive experience in internal audit and financial systems, currently serving as an Expert in the Department of Financial System Projects at the Bank Guarantee Fund since August 2022. Renata has played a key role in developing optimal models for insurance recovery and resolution under the IRR Directive and has conducted risk analysis in the Polish insurance and reinsurance sector. Prior to this, Renata held significant positions at MetLife, leading internal audit efforts in Poland, Russia, and Ukraine, where strategic planning and audit execution were priority areas. Early career experience includes leadership roles in internal audit and compliance at Amplico Life S.A., as well as positions at EY and Arthur Andersen & Co., focusing on financial statement audits and projects within the financial market. Educational qualifications include multiple degrees from SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Warsaw, complemented by postgraduate studies in yoga, relaxation, and insurance.
