Salim al Maharbi

Salim Al Maharbi is an experienced finance professional with a robust career spanning over two decades in the banking sector. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Bank Nizwa since July 2012, Salim has held multiple key positions including Acting CFO, In-Charge Finance, and Head of Financial Accounting. Prior to Bank Nizwa, Salim worked at Bank Sohar as Chief Manager of Commercial & Finance and at HSBC Bank - Oman as Officer of Financial Control. Educationally, Salim holds an MBA in Finance from Edinburgh Napier University and has earned various certifications, including Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA) from AAOIFI. Additionally, Salim possesses a BA Honours in Accounting from the University of Bedfordshire and has completed the ACCA certification, alongside diplomas in Business Studies Accounting and Business Administration.
