Barend van Ijsselstein

Barend van IJsselstein is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in corporate and commodity finance. Currently serving as Managing Director, Head Corporate Banking for North America and Managing Director, Global Head Energy at OCBC Bank since August 2014, Barend has previously held leadership roles at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as Director of Energy, Trade & Commodities Finance for Asia-Pacific and as Associate in Trade & Commodities for EMEA. Barend's career also includes an analyst position at the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation and an e-brokerage role at BinckBank. Academically, Barend holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Amsterdam, a Master of Arts in Asian Studies from the University of Sydney, and completed the Executive Development Program at INSEAD.
