Rich Spencer

Rich Spencer has extensive experience as a Chief Innovation and Information Officer, with their most recent role being at Bank of Ann Arbor since September 2019. In this position, they managed a team of 10 IT professionals and a budget of over $10 million. Rich made significant contributions to the organization by revamping the IT budgeting process and successfully implementing strategic changes during the pandemic. Prior to that, they held the same role at Monroe Bank & Trust for over 15 years. In this position, they reported directly to the COO, managed a team of 9 IT professionals, and oversaw various departments such as Item Processing, Deposit Operations, and Call Center.

Rich Spencer has a BA in Telecommunications from Michigan State University (2000-2004). Rich then pursued an MBA in Information Systems and Organizational Leadership from The University of Toledo (2008-2010). In 2010, they attended the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Recently, from 2018 to 2022, they obtained an Executive Leadership Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
