Chris Bannister

Chris Bannister has extensive experience in the banking industry. Chris currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial at the Bank of Blue Valley. In this role, they are responsible for developing the bank's go-to-market strategy, enhancing the client experience, and acquiring and developing talent.

Prior to their current position, Chris worked at UMB Bank as a Senior Vice President, where they managed over $1 billion in loan commitments and originated over $600 million in new loan commitments. Chris was recognized as a Top Producer multiple times and received a UMB Leadership Award.

Chris also has experience in leadership roles outside of banking, serving as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and participating in the Centurions Leadership Program as part of the Pinnacle Class of 2023.

Earlier in their career, Chris worked at Standard Chartered Bank, where they completed a credit training program and eventually became the Director and Regional Head of Global Subsidiaries. In this role, they managed a team of Relationship Managers and marketed various bank products.

Chris Bannister has a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a Holton Scholar at DePauw University.
