Stelios Stylianou

Acting Chief Information Security Officer at Bank of Cyprus

Stelios was appointed as Acting Chief Information Officer in October 20021. In his role, he is responsible for the design and monitoring of the implementation of the Information Security Program at the Group level.

He joined the Bank of Cyprus in August 2020 as the Governance Manager under the CIO function. Prior to joining the Bank and from November 2016 to August 2020, Stelios held the position of the Global Chief Information Security Officer for a large multinational BPO services company (Tek Experts Global Ltd) and was responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of the global Information/Cyber Security Strategy and program of the company. Before that, Stelios worked at KPMG Cyprus from 2005 until 2016, where, from 2012 he held the position of Director and led the Information Protection and Business Resilience Advisory Services, managing and delivering information and cyber security engagements for clients in different countries and industries with a focus on Banking Government and Telecommunications.

He holds a BSc in Computer Systems Engineering from Warwick University UK, and an MBA from Warwick Business School UK. He is a PRINCE2 Certified Practitioner and Certified Information System Manager.
