Anirban Ghoshal

Anirban Ghoshal, FRM, is a seasoned risk management professional with extensive experience in financial services, currently serving as a Senior Technical Specialist at the Bank of England's Prudential Regulation Authority since January 2023. In this role, Anirban leads Non-Financial Risk, Operational & Technology Risk, and Operational Resilience reviews for major financial institutions. Prior to this, Anirban was a Group Lead at Revolut, overseeing risk for Payments and Technology, as well as Trading and Cryptocurrency sectors. Anirban's previous experience includes senior roles at HSBC, where oversight of Non-Financial Risk was a key focus, and at ICICI Bank UK as Head of Operational Risk. Anirban began the career at Deloitte in corporate finance, specializing in private equity. Anirban holds a Financial Risk Manager certification from GARP, an MBA in Systems & Finance from SPJIMR, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
