Luisa Pires

Luisa Pires, PhD, is an experienced leader in analytics and data science, currently serving as the Head and Founder of the Analytics Enablement Hub at the Bank of England since January 2017. Previously, Luisa held various positions at Accenture AI, including Data Science Manager and Data Science Team Leader, and contributed to academia as a Laboratory Supervisor and Tutorial Supervisor at the University of Cambridge. Earlier roles included a trainee position at The MathWorks and a Scientist/Innovator at TNO Science and Industry. Luisa Pires earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Information Engineering from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Science (MSc) in Modelling and Control from Delft University of Technology, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
