James Hong

James Hong has extensive experience in the banking industry, primarily with Bank of Hope and Wilshire Bank. James started their career with Wilshire Bank in January 2012 as AVP in Retail Banking Administration, a role they held until July 2016. James joined Bank of Hope in August 2016 as AVP in Community Banking Administration, and was later promoted to VP in Corporate Strategy in June 2017. In April 2020, they became FVP as the Corporate Strategy Manager, and currently serves as SVP and Director of Strategy & Program Management since November 2023 at Bank of Hope.

James Hong has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Law & Society from UC San Diego, which they obtained from 2007 to 2011. James later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Southern California, starting in 2020 and expected to graduate in 2023. Furthermore, they completed a Business Administration program at UCLA Extension in 2014. Additionally, James has obtained the ABA - Wharton Emerging Leaders Certificate in Strategy from the American Bankers Association, although the specific date of certification is not provided.
