Barry Ahearne

Barry Ahearne is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in risk management and market operations. Currently serving as the Head of Structural Market Risk Management & FTP at Bank of Ireland since April 2021, Barry previously led the GBP & USD Money Markets at Bank of Ireland Corporate and Markets from November 2011 to November 2021, where responsibilities included managing cash flows and interest rate exposures. Prior to this, Barry held various roles at AIB Capital Markets from January 1999 to October 2011, including Senior Dealer, where management of multiple interest rate portfolios and cash management tasks was key. Barry holds a Master of Business Studies in Finance from UCD, Smurfit Graduate School of Business, and a BBS in Economics and Finance from the University of Limerick.
