Ian Usher

Ian Usher is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in threat intelligence and security. Currently serving as a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst at Bank of Ireland, Ian drives the Cyber Threat Intelligence function to protect the Group's assets. In addition, Ian holds the position of Strategic Advisor at Project Guardian, contributing to the project's core strategy and the development of an AI-driven assessment platform. Ian's prior experience includes several key roles at NCC Group, culminating as Deputy Global Head of Threat Intelligence, where Ian oversaw operational teams and managed the transition of threat intelligence services. Ian also brings a background in law enforcement, having served as a Police Officer at a major nuclear site, coupled with experience in support roles within educational and victim services. Ian holds a Master’s degree in Homeland Security from Northumbria University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Queen Margaret University.
