Oran MacLaverty

Oran MacLaverty is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various legal roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Senior Legal Advisor for the Bank of Ireland since August 2012, Oran acts as the primary legal contact for the Group's Technology and Customer Solutions division, collaborating closely with IT and digital functions. Previous experience includes serving as a Legal & Business Adviser at EBU, where Oran negotiated high-value media rights acquisition agreements, and as Assistant European Counsel at Emerson Electric Co., focusing on commercial agreements in the EMEA region. Notable earlier roles include Senior Legal Counsel at ISL Marketing, where expertise in sponsorship and licensing for major sporting events was developed, as well as positions at Eurotunnel, Taylor Joynson Garrett, and Simmons & Simmons specializing in corporate finance and competition law. Oran holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Durham University.
