Amir Yaron is the Robert Morris Professor of Banking and Finance at The Wharton School, a position held since 1997. Yaron has been a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research since 2004 and served as a board member for ControlRad from 2012 to 2013. Previously, Yaron was an Assistant Professor at the Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business from 1995 to 1997 and a Financial Advisor to the Chief of Staff at the Israel Defense Forces from 1985 to 1989. Yaron holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics and Finance from the University of Chicago, as well as a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Tel Aviv University.
