Swagatam Dutta has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Research Associate at Anandam Consulting. In 2011, they joined Bank of Maharashtra as a Deputy Manager and steadily progressed to Manager and then Branch Manager roles. Swagatam served as the Branch Head of Hanuman Nagar Branch in Nagpur, managing a business worth Rs. 330 Cr. Dutta's responsibilities at the bank also included business development activities in the Northeastern region, where they achieved significant growth in both asset and liability segments. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Manager, Business Development, overseeing the bank's market share expansion in the Northeastern region. In 2023, Dutta is expected to take on the role of Chief Manager, Business Development at Bank of Maharashtra.

Swagatam Dutta started their education journey at Don Bosco School in Siliguri, where they completed their ICSE degree between 1992 and 2002. Swagatam then pursued their higher secondary education, completing their ISC degree at the same school from 2002 to 2004, with a focus on commerce.

In 2004, Swagatam enrolled at Heramba Chandra College, where they obtained their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting and Finance. This course spanned from 2004 to 2007.

Building upon their undergraduate studies, Swagatam went on to attend the University of North Bengal, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from 2008 to 2010.

To supplement their educational qualifications, Swagatam achieved the CAIIB certification from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) in May 2017.
