James C. Hale

James C. Hale has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. James is currently the Director at Bank of Marin. Prior to their current position, they were with Mitek Systems, Bank of Marin, FTV Capital, Columbus Strategic Advisors, LLC, and BancAmerica Securities (formerly Montgomery Securities).

At BancAmerica Securities, they were the Senior Managing Partner and Head of the Financial Services Group. James co-founded the Montgomery Financial Fund (1982-4), an opportunistic bank investment fund which sought to capitalize on the deregulation of the banking industry.

From 1978 to 1982, they were the Vice President of the Corporate Development Group at BankAmerica Corporation.

Throughout their career, James has advised major banks, insurance companies and others in the financial services industry on mergers and equity capital markets transactions, including numerous IPOs. James is a nationally recognized expert in the financial services industry.

James C. Hale completed their undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied accounting and finance. James then went on to complete their MBA at Harvard Business School.
