Morag McCaw-Pretty

Morag McCaw-Pretty is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in banking and compliance. Currently serving as the Head of Strategic Initiatives & Conduct in Corporate & Institutional Banking at the Bank of New Zealand since February 2020, Morag has previously held significant roles at Standard Chartered Bank from 2013 to 2018, including Executive Director of Compliance for the Group Conduct Programme. At ANZ, Morag held various management positions from 2007 to 2013, focusing on business management and operational performance. Morag began a career in human resources at the National Bank of New Zealand and has an academic background with a Master’s degree and Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Otago. Morag's diverse expertise spans compliance, strategic development, and operations across multiple regions and functions.
