Stephen Merrick

Stephen Merrick is an experienced records management professional with a robust background in developing and implementing records management strategies across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Senior Manager - Records at the Bank of New Zealand since June 2022, Stephen has been instrumental in aligning records management practices with the organization's risk profile and enhancing compliance through metrics and reporting. Previously, as Records Manager at Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, Stephen established a framework for effective records management and facilitated staff training. Earlier positions include Information and Resource Manager at Metrowater, various librarian roles at The University of Auckland, and management of special projects at Auckland City Libraries. Stephen holds a Diploma in Library and Information Sciences from Victoria University of Wellington and dual master's and bachelor's degrees in History and Political Sciences from The University of Auckland.
