Stacy Kymes is executive vice president, Chief Operating Officer for BOK Financial Corporation. Kymes oversees all of the company’s revenue-generating divisions including the company’s Regional and Commercial banking division, led by Executive Vice President Norm Bagwell; the Consumer banking division, led by Executive Vice President Derek Martin; and the Wealth Management division, led by Executive Vice President Scott Grauer. He also serves as executive vice president over all specialized banking areas, including energy, commercial real estate, healthcare, treasury services, commercial strategies and TransFund.

Prior to his current position, Kymes served as chief credit officer and was responsible for all aspects of credit administration for BOK Financial, including credit approval, policy administration, loan portfolio reporting, loan and appraisal review, and loan workouts.

Kymes joined BOK Financial in 1996 and has held a number of positions in various areas of the company’s finance and credit divisions. He started in internal audit and ultimately served as chief auditor before moving to the corporate controller position. From there, his responsibilities grew to include mergers and acquisitions as well as investor relations.

In 2008, Kymes was named treasurer, overseeing all asset-liability management, liquidity, capital management and securities portfolio management. He moved to Credit Administration a year later as part of a defined succession plan as assistant chief credit officer before assuming the chief role in 2013.

Kymes graduated from Harding University, summa cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He began his career at KPMG LLP where he audited public and private companies, primarily in the financial services sector.

Having played a major role in generating economic development opportunities for Tulsa’s downtown core, Kymes assisted with the private fundraising of $30 million and the formation of a public entity to build a new minor league ballpark in the downtown corridor. He currently serves as chairman of the Tulsa Stadium Trust. Kymes also became involved in a successful effort to privatize the local zoo through a public-private partnership between the City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Zoo and is the current chairman of Tulsa Zoo Management, Inc.
