James Yao, SHRM-CP, PHR is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in various companies such as Bank of the Orient, Caritas Management Corporation, The John Stewart Company, Tri Counties Bank, First National Bank of Northern California, Straits Management Company LLC, Vitasoy USA Inc., and Management Arts/BAART/CDP. Starting their career as an HR Representative, James worked their way up to Vice President/Senior HR Generalist and Vice President/HR Manager. James holds a BS in Human Resources Management, Management, and Small Business Management from San Francisco State University.

In 1971, Bank of the Orient opened its headquarters in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District to serve the banking needs of the Asian-American community.
