John Curtis is an accomplished banking executive with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer at Bank of the Orient since October 2020, John previously held the position of Executive President at the same institution from April 2015 to November 2020, during which time total loans outstanding increased significantly from $322 million to $714 million. Prior to joining Bank of the Orient, John was Regional President at Metro United Bank, where John established two new commercial banking offices, and held the role of Senior Vice President at East West Bank, where John led the Peninsula Commercial Lending Group and was recognized as a top lender in Northern California. John holds a Master of Science in Taxation from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from San Jose State University.
