Michael Powell

Michael Powell serves as the President of the Residential Mortgage Division at Bank OZK since August 2023. As the Founder of Cahootz since June 2019, Powell also held the position of Mortgage Division President at Simmons Bank from June 2019 to July 2023. Previous roles include Mortgage Division President at Centennial Bank, Chief Operations Officer at IBERIABANK Mortgage, and Business Owner of Cornerstone Mortgage Center, where Powell established one of Arkansas' largest independent mortgage banks. Additionally, Powell worked as a Regional Sales Manager at PHH Mortgage. Educational background includes a degree from Southern Methodist University, earned between 1988 and 1992.
