Monika Jachimkowska-Trepka has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Monika has held various roles in compliance and corporate affairs at prominent banks in Poland. Starting in 1997, they worked at GE Money Bank Poland, where they served as a Managing Specialist in the Collateral Department and later as a Project Manager for New Product Development. Monika then became a Compliance Manager at the same bank before moving to EMEA GE Money HQ in London as a Compliance Manager - STIR. In 2008, they joined GE Money Bank as a Team Manager in the Compliance Office and Responsible Lending Leader. Monika then joined BPH Bank GE Capital Group in 2010 as the Director of Retail Banking Compliance Unit. In 2012, they transitioned to Bank Pekao S.A., where they served as the Director of Retail & Private Banking Compliance Office and eventually became the Head of Products & Services Compliance Office. Currently, they hold the position of Vice-President of the Ethics Committee at the Polish Banks Association at Związek Banków Polskich.
Monika Jachimkowska-Trepka completed their education with a Master's degree in Law from the University of Gdansk, which they obtained from 1998 to 2004. Monika further pursued postgraduate studies, specializing in European Law at Jagiellonian University from 2007 to 2008, and in Banking at SGH Warsaw School of Economics from 2010 to 2011.
