Dennis Hagemann

Dennis Hagemann has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dennis started their career at Mark Twain Bancshares, Inc., where they worked as an Internal Auditor for four years. Following this, they joined Mark Twain Bank as a Corporate Trust Officer and later as a Vice President and Corporate Trust Manager. During their time there, they generated new business fees and implemented policies and procedures.

Hagemann then joined The Bank of New York, where they established a new Corporate Trust division in St. Louis. Dennis recruited and hired a staff of over 50 employees and successfully established a Midwest region presence. After that, they worked at the National Benevolent Association in various roles, including Director of Capital Resources and Risk Management, Vice President for Human Resources Management Development, and eventually as the President and CEO. During their time there, the organization faced bankruptcy, and Hagemann led them through that challenging period.

Hagemann later joined Four Four Credit Union as the CEO/Manager, where they were responsible for all operational aspects of the credit union. Dennis improved efficiencies by recruiting an assistant manager and focused on enhancing client/member services.

Prior to their current role, Hagemann worked at Lutheran Federal Credit Union as the Vice President of Finance. Dennis played a crucial role in establishing various systems, including core processing, accounting, payroll, and compliance. Dennis ensured the accuracy and timely flow of funds and was involved in reconciliation and reporting.

Currently, Hagemann holds the position of Director of Accounting and Finance at Bank Star, Inc., where they have been since 2016. In their previous role, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Bancstar, Inc., starting in March 2023.

Dennis Hagemann earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School from 1986 to 1990. Prior to that, they attended St. Louis University High School from 1982 to 1986. Additionally, Dennis Hagemann holds certifications including Certified Corporate Trust Specialist, Certified Internal Auditor, and Credit Union Compliance Expert.
