Joe Stewart III has extensive experience in the banking industry and corporate governance. Joe served as the Chairman of the Board at Bancstar, Inc. from 2006. Starting in 1990, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Bank Star and later at Bank Star One and Bank Star of the BootHeel. In 2008, Joe became a Director at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, where they served on various committees. Joe also held roles as a Governance Fellow at the National Association of Corporate Directors and as a Member of the ABA Government Relations Council. Additionally, Joe served as an Alderman and Chairman of the Finance Committee at the City of Sunset Hills. Overall, Joe has a strong background in finance, leadership, and policy advocacy.
Joe Stewart III attended the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business from 1988 to 1990, where they studied Finance/Accounting. Joe then went on to Saint Louis University from 1992 to 1993, continuing their studies in Finance/Accounting. In 1993, they obtained a B.S.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. Joe later pursued a GSB degree in Banking/Finance from the Wisconsin School of Business from 1993 to 1995. In 2001, they completed a Professional Master of Banking degree in Banking/Finance from Louisiana State University. Additionally, they hold a certification as a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Governance Fellow.
