Umi Kawiryani Tjiptoningsih has extensive experience in the financial and digital innovation sectors, currently serving as the Head of Digital Strategy and Customer Experience Department at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. since December 2021, after previously holding the position of Head of Digital Strategy and Innovation Department. Prior to this, Umi worked at Otoritas Jasa Keuangan from August 2018 to December 2021 as an Analyst of Digital Financial Innovation Group and a Fintech Expert. Umi also led partnerships at JPx, focusing on hyperlocal business growth and strategic relationships, and held various roles at PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk., including First Senior Manager of Investment Products and Corporate Plan team member. Umi holds a Master of Science in Finance and Investment from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, and Economics from Universitas Gadjah Mada, along with an exchange program at Sciences Po in International Economics.
