Raúl Vallejo Villafuerte

Raúl Vallejo Villafuerte has held several roles in the data and analytics field since 2013. Starting as an intern at QBE Insurance, they then moved to GNP SEGUROS where they worked as an intern, creating sales productivity models. In 2014, they began working at Laudex as a Risk Analyst, and then as a Lead Data Scientist. In 2018, Raúl joined the NYC Data Science Academy as a Data Science Fellow. In 2019, they joined Konfio as a Data Scientist, and in 2020 they became Head of Data & Analytics at ION Financiera. In 2022, Raúl was appointed Head of Data at Bankaya and also joined On Deck as a Data Science Fellow.

Raúl Vallejo Villafuerte obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México between 2011 and 2016. In 2014, they also obtained a Diploma in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including dbt Fundamentals from dbt Labs in May 2022, Databricks Lakehouse Platform Essentials from Databricks in March 2022, DS4A / Latin America 2020: Graduated with Honors from Correlation One in June 2020, NYC DSA Data Science Bootcamp from the NYC Data Science Academy in December 2018, and Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from CertiProf.
