William Mendenhall

William Mendenhall is an experienced financial professional with a diverse background in credit risk management and advisory services. As Co-Founder and Chief Advisory Officer of BankCheck by Lacuna Solutions since December 2012 and a Sole Practitioner at Independent Financial Consulting since May 2011, Mendenhall specializes in credit ratings management and portfolio credit risk diversification. Previously, Mendenhall served as Managing Partner at Banquo Credit Management, where leadership of portfolio strategy and credit research was key. Mendenhall's foundational experience includes a role as Managing Director for Merrill Lynch's Ratings Advisory Service and as a Senior Analyst at Moody's Investors Service, where responsibilities encompassed European bank ratings and corporate ratings. Mendenhall holds a BA in French and German from the University of Virginia and has additional educational credentials from HEC Paris and Marlborough College.
