Jonathan Cooke has over 30 years of experience in the property and waste management sectors. Currently serving as Commercial Manager at Banks Group since May 1999, Jonathan has held various roles including Estates Manager, Estates Surveyor, and Project Manager. Prior experience includes positions at The Peel Group and VHE Construction plc, where Jonathan specialized in minerals and waste management. Jonathan's career began as a Surveying Assistant at INITIAL SURVEYS LIMITED after completing a BSc. (Hons) in Minerals Estate Management from Sheffield Hallam University and obtaining Chartered Surveyor status (MRICS) from The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The Banks Group develops land for a variety of uses including mineral extraction, property and renewable and flexible energy generation and storage. It is a family owned, County Durham based business employing over 300 people across the north of England and Scotland. We adopt an approach to our business that we call development with care, which ensures that our developments have a positive long term effect on the environment, the economy and the local communities that host our developments. The Banks Community Fund was established in 1997 to provide support to community groups, voluntary organisations and environmental projects that are located within close proximity of a current or proposed Banks Group development and provide benefit to the local community.
