Alina Pastiu

Alina Pastiu is an experienced professional in corporate governance and risk management, currently serving as SVP and Director of Corporate Governance at BankUnited since February 2007. Pastiu has held several senior roles at BankUnited, including SVP, Senior Enterprise Risk Manager, and SVP, Associate General Counsel, and has also served as Outside Counsel through the law firm Camner Lipsitz Poller. Prior to BankUnited, Pastiu worked as a Corporate/Securities Associate at K&L Gates and as a Corporate Associate at Clifford Chance US LLP. Earlier in the career, Pastiu was a Democratization Officer at the OSCE and an Associate at UNICEF USA. Alina Pastiu holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Duke University School of Law, a Master of International Affairs focused on International Law and Human Rights from Columbia University SIPA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University.
