Sebastian Cariaga

Sebastian Cariaga, CPA, currently serves as the Head of the Strategic Management Office at BankUnited, where responsibilities include leading the implementation and management of strategic initiatives, enterprise projects, change management processes, and continuous improvement efforts since May 2010. Previous roles at BankUnited include Senior Vice President, Director of Finance, where leadership of a team focused on credit modeling and financial automation took place, and Enterprise Analytics Manager, managing stress test activities. Sebastian also has experience as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst producing key financial filings. Before joining BankUnited, Sebastian worked at Azopharma as an Accounting Manager, and held positions at Lennar as Internal Reporting Manager/Senior Accountant, The GW Medical Faculty Associates as a Financial Analyst, and BDO USA, LLP as an Audit Associate. Education includes an Executive MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland.
